"DBF For Change"

The Vision

Divas Build Futures Inc launched its campaign "DBF For change" capital campaign raising money for

HER HOMES TRANSITIONAL HOUSING.

 

Our transitional housing will host 6-8 young ladies at a time per house. We will provide a safe, secure and structured home for girls and young women to productively complete goals and task towards their future. We will implement a structured housing program that will assist them with a start or restart with their lives. Located in Collin County.

24-26 month program

 

Young ladies participating in this program are able to set long-term goals for employment and education and learn the life skills necessary for independence. The ultimate goal for our young ladies is self-sufficiency and permanent housing in effort to break the cycle of homelessness and instability.

We at DBF believe every young lady should have options in life when becoming successful. 30% of students drop out of college after their first year. When choosing a path in life to take we will provide young ladies with love, guidance, understanding and patience as we walk along side them on their journey. As leaders in our community we have to set boundaries base on experience and need. Yes there are programs that service homelessness, however DBF comes with compassionate hands that dedicate time and patience to gain real results. Every housing educational program wasn't designed for everybody.

Only 11.6% of students who drop out will end up transferring and getting their degrees elsewhere. Here at DBF, we have developed a program where we want to see the numbers of students going elsewhere increase their chances at success and have the opportunity to grow and become just as successful as students who attend college.

DBF is building better futures for women today by nurturing our youth and generations to come by impacting our families and communities of all cultures.
